If I had to sum up Jesus in just one sentence it would go something like this:

Jesus miraculously came into the world as the image of the invisible God (YAHWEH) to destroy the works of the Devil, reveal God’s character, his love, his spiritual kingdom and remove sin through His death and blood shed on the cross that separates humanity from God so that all who believe can have a relationship with Him and have eternal life.

Now if that sounds ridiculous and completely far fetched to you please wait and hear me out.

If you don’t or can’t believe this now, I can guarantee that there have been spiritual forces working behind the scenes to keep your belief system rooted in lies and deceit (the way the Devil wants it). It’s just like the TRUMAN SHOW MOVIE starring Jim Carrey.

So, before you leave in disbelief with your rational scientific mind or skepticism, please understand that you probably haven’t experienced the supernatural power of God’s Holy Spirit working with Jesus in you which ‘overrides’ the intellect - yet. Hang in there. God gives proof of His existence with the tangible presence of His Holy Spirit and His love.

Until the natural mind or the ego (physical) experiences or witnesses the supernatural presence of God’s spirit through Jesus it won’t accept it as truth The bible backs this up.

“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolish, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments”

- 1 Corinthians. Chapter 2. Verse 14.

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God”.

- Romans Chapter 8. Verses 5-8.

As I alluded to earlier, If you currently believe that only a material or physical dimension exists in ultimate reality, you have been blinded or ‘entrapped’ to only see half the real picture. The natural mind (ego) of yours who hasn’t experienced God’s presence yet is keeping you as a prisoner with a lot of help from the Devil. The Devil’s worst nightmare is you coming to know the truth about Jesus and receiving His salvation.

Salvation is the miracle that Jesus gives a person when they confess that they believe in Him and they recognise what he did on the cross through his death and resurrection. it restores their relationship with God here on Earth and in eternity. Salvation is what spiritually transforms a person into a new creation or enables them to become born again into new life through Jesus into a new reality - the kingdom of God.

The material or physical world that we experience with our senses in the world contains suffering because of sin which is inherently evil. Because God, Jesus and heaven is completely sin-free he has given authority of the material world over to someone else who you may have heard the name of - the Devil.

The material world must exist to enable people to have free will or choice to choose between God (revealed through Jesus) and his spiritual kingdom or the social physical world and its ways. It all boils down to the reason why God created us and that was to have a relationship with us and reveal his glory to us. Now think about it, if God created us without free will and forced us to love him that wouldn’t really be a real or authentic relationship would it?

Our time on Earth then ultimately can be reduced to one decision. That is to choose God and his ways by accepting Jesus and living the life he has already planned out for us. Or to remain independent of God to follow our own desires and ways which leads to destruction. This ultimate truth - regardless if you believe it or not.

We only receive eternal life if we choose Jesus who represents God and his Kingdom. Why would God want us in his Kingdom if we didn’t acknowledge Him and love Him? If there is no relationship now during our life with him on Earth there is no relationship in Heaven. People don’t go to heaven if they don’t believe in Jesus. Simple.

But it is not just a case of faith. When we receive Jesus, God gives us proof of his existence with a deposit (2 Corinthians 1:21–22) through the Holy Spirit which fills us and transforms us in supernatural ways which are tangible and we can navigate life through spirit as opposed to our flesh or ego.. Receiving the Holy Spirit gives us a completely new perspective on life as we see things from a Kingdom of God perspective instead of the world. We become set free from the world having to live according to its expectations. We learn to allow God to supernaturally work in and through us from Heaven which enables us to carry out miracles such as healing and releasing God’s kingdom into the world that is filled with love, peace and His glory!

Let’s use this metaphor to help you comprehend what we have discussed and to understand further.

Metaphorically speaking, God has given humans two operating systems to function with in heaven and on earth while they are alive. The factory pre-installed software is called “ego”, or what the bible refers to as the “flesh”. The option to upgrade from this software to the “spirit” operating system is only activated through salvation through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Navigating life with the two operating systems and knowing the differences in function and application are essential.

This comparison chart between the two operating systems will show you the differences you need to know between the ego and spirit in order to understand what Jesus was talking about. Notice that they are completely opposite in nature.

Ego software is outdated and limited in function. It can only focus on the physical and social world and it tends to keep people trapped in patterns of fear because it uses old wiring in a biological brain. Ego can not tap into the realm of spirit because it can only focus on the physical and social world.

Jesus spoke directly against the continued use of ego as it separates people from God and ultimately destroys them if they don’t eventually receive him:

“The Spirit gives life; the [ego] counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life” .

- John 6:63.

When a person receives Jesus Christ as their lord and saviour, God the father upgrades their operating system to “spirit” which enables them to perceive spiritual things which the ego could not understand. The realm of the spirit exists in what Jesus referred to as the kingdom of God. This dimension is the ultimate reality as it exists in love and other manifestations of spirit that can never end because it exists outside space and time. Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is already here on Earth and is a supernatural place that exists among people who follow him.

“The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

- Luke 12:20-21.

How to Receive Jesus Now!

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved”. - Romans 8. 9-10.

Some tips:

Approach God in humility and surrender. tell him you are sorry for all your sins that you are aware of and not aware of.

Thank him for sending Jesus to die on the cross so that your sins can be removed from you and you can have a relationship with God because of him and become part of God’s family all connected by his love.

Let God know that you believe that he sent Jesus to die for the sins of the world and that you believe he rose from the dead and that he will also give you eternal life through Jesus.

Verbally ask Jesus to come and save you and take away your sins.

Ask Jesus himself to supernaturally fill you and transform you with the holy spirit. Tell him that you want to follow him and receive ALL his supernatural help from heaven to follow him and please God (I suggest that you shut your eyes and that you hold out your arms with your inner palms of your hands facing heaven to receive the supernatural presence of God).

WAIT ON JESUS & THE HOLY SPIRIT TO ACT (Hint: ask the Holy Spirit to guide your attention and focus).
